An orientation seminar for the finalists of the open international competition for development of an architectural concept for the Galiasgar Kamal Tatar State Academy Theatre will take place on November 27–28 in Kazan.

The consortia representatives will be able to familiarize themselves with the competition territory.

Meetings with representatives of the Kamal Theatre will be held as part of the seminar. Finalists will be able to ask any questions they are interested in, as well as to explore the theatre from inside.

The finalists will also have an opportunity to discover the city. Excursions to the historical settlements of Kazan, the embankment of Nizhniy Kaban lake and the Kazan Kremlin will take place, as well as an “Identity and Modernity” architectural tour of the city, and an excursion to the artistic culture exhibition of the Tatars in the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan.

One of the most important components of the orientation seminar is introducing participants to the culture and traditions of the Kamal Theatre, and also to the Tatar identity. The finalists will have an engaging tour of the theatre with the opportunity to participate in workshops, as well as a performance in a “theatre of citizens” format about the “old” and “new” buildings of Kamal Theatre (“Hello, I’m in the theater! Әлү, мин театрда!”).
